Remarks: Also called the Shortfin Lionfish. Generally nocturnal and prefers to stay inactive during day. Can be acclimated to come out during day light in captivity once it feels comfortable. Providing live food in the beginning is important to get it to settle in and slowly take on frozen meaty food. A popular choice for fish-only or even reef aquarium due to its small size and as long as the aquarium's not stocked with fish or crustacean that it can fit in its mouth.
