Remarks: This is actually not a hawkfish but closer to being an anthias. However it is grouped under the hawkfish category because of its look and behavior resemble those of the hawkfish, and the fact that it is often sold under the hawkfish category. Feeds on zooplankton. A relatively deep water occurring species that stays small. Only aggressive to small bottom dweller of the same size or smaller.
