Scientific Name: Zebrasoma veliferum
Min. Tank Size: 180 gallons
Captive Care: Intermediate
Max. Size: 39.5 cm (15.5")
Range: Western Pacific from Sagami Bay, Honshu south to Sydney, east in Oceania to the Hawaiian Islands and Pitcarin Islands, all of Micronesia and all of French Polynesia except the Marquesas, Fiji, Indonesia, Sumatra
Depth: shallows to about 30m (98.4ft)
Remarks: Its small size commonly available in the hobby causes the misconception that this is a small fish, when in fact it grows quite big. If you have a very lage aquarium, this fish makes a great addition to either reef or fish-only aquarium. It has also been seen to eat hair algae.
